Temazcal
The traditional Mayan sweat lodge. One of our spiritual guides, will prepare and guide the ceremony inviting the 4 elements to join in an experience that will not only leave your skin hydrated but your spirit light and your soul relaxed.
This ceremony is suitable for groups of up to 6 people and must be arranged in advance. |

Charito is an expert in typical Southern Mexican dishes and has an easy to understand and follow methodology.
You can choose a session of 1 dish or 2 dishes. The cost of the session includes a class for 1 or 2 people and includes the ingredients for the dishes you choose. |

Explore & Discover
Walk the trails of the property and admire the various species of birds and butterflies that visit us daily. Mama Loo.mm is the favorite spot of many birds including the famous bird Mot Mot with its striking blue tail.
Discover the ancestral Zapote trees and their incomparable marks, and tracings of the ancient Mayan Chicleros. Let yourself be surprised by the hidden treasures of nature that can only be seen when you are in communion with it. |
Freshwater pool
Have you ever experienced a pool of fresh water from underground rivers? Well what are you waiting for? Our pool is filled with 100% crystal clear water from the region's underground rivers and is an excellent complement to the Temazcal ceremony or the perfect way to end your adventure of exploring the trails of Mama Loo.mm.

Corchal / Botanic Garden
A corchal is an old collapsed cenote, but it still has its water holes. Our corchal has a diameter of approximately 46 meters and more than 5 water holes around it. Inside you can find an extensive variety of plants, and trees from the region including a hybrid variety of Anona (Sugar Apple tree) which according to our native friends have only seen in Mama Loo.mm.

Connect with Mama Loo.mm
While there is no better way to connect with Mama Loo.mm or Mother Earth, than to hug a tree, walk barefoot and feel the earths vibrations or simply feel the wind blow and touch your skin, we invite you to visit our representation of her. This sculpture emerged from the trunk and roots of one of the fallen trees found during one of our first visits to the property. She cried out to take the shape of a woman giving birth to a world out of her belly. This of course is what inspired the name of the property. Be sure to visit her to leave your good wishes and prayer requests on a piece of cloth that you can tie close to her so that the wind spreads it throughout the universe!

Visit our garden and plant nursery
Although from the beginning, part of our mission has been to restock the property, reproducing the species found here, over time our nursery has grown to incorporate some edible plants such as oranges, bananas, chili peppers, sweet herbs, etc. Mama Loo.mm is an old chiclero field and we believe it is because of this that we have found adult lime and sour orange trees on the property. We suppose that when the chicleros ate they threw the seeds of the fruits on the ground and nature took care of the rest.
We have recently incorporated new planting beds, and a new compost system more aimed at soil regeneration. Ask us if you can help us plant and learn some tips on how you can plant in small spaces. There is nothing more satisfying than eating something you planted yourself! |
S'mores
! Mama Loo.mm is a THOUSAND STAR property! and on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays at dusk we invite you to join us at the communal fire pit (next to the deck) to count the stars while enjoying some delicious "S'mores" or roasted marshmallows, with melted chocolate between 2 cookies. Sound yummy? You know where to go!
