Common Spaces
Bath House
The bathhouse is centrally located for easy access from each Kúuchil and the common areas. Each Kúuchil is between 10 and 30 meters from the bathroom. The bathhouse has a men's and women's section. Each section is equipped with two toilets, two showers, and two sinks. The showers have cold and hot water and 100% natural, biodegradable, and proudly Mexican amenities. Bathroom amenities include:
- Shampoo, conditioner and shower gel
Liquid hand soap
The Palapa
This is the multipurpose space adjacent to our Mayan kitchen and deck. Pre-ordered meals (other than continental breakfast) are served here. Classes and/or activities offered on the property are also held here.
The Deck
Adjacent to La Palapa is one of our guests' favorite spots, as you can see the Corchal/Botanical Garden from here while sitting in one of our comfortable hammock chairs. Every night, it's also the gathering spot for complimentary S'mores and discovering Mama Loo.mm's thousands of stars.
The Pool
Although small, it packs a punch! Imagine diving into 5 meters in diameter and 1.20 meters deep fresh water drawn directly from underground rivers! Your skin and spirit will thank you. Access to the pool is at your own risk, and the pool is open from 8 am to 6 pm.
The Cork /
Botanical Garden
A corchal is a collapsed cenote that still has springs. Our corchal has a diameter of approximately 46 meters and five springs surrounding it. Inside, you can find a wide variety of local trees, including a hybrid variety of anona, which, according to our local friends, they've only seen at Mama Loo.mm.
Nursery
Although from the beginning, part of our mission has been to reforest the property by reproducing the species found here, over time our nursery has grown to include edible plants such as oranges, bananas, chilies, herbs, and more. Mama Loo.mm is a former chicle field, and we believe this is why, during our first visits, we found mature lemon and bitter orange trees. We speculate that when the chicle workers ate, they threw the seeds from the fruits they ate to the ground, and nature took care of the rest. We have recently incorporated a new composting system more focused on soil regeneration.
Trails
As in Rome, all paths lead back to the main road. Whether you choose to go around the corchal, go to the bathhouse, your Kúuchil, or the nursery, the path you choose will always lead you to the main road affectionately known as "the boulevard." This way, you can walk around the property at your leisure and admire the birds, butterflies, lizards, and more, knowing you won't get lost!
